Haiti Environment and Energy Mapping

In 2018, UNEP in collaboration with UNOPS was tasked to do a survey of the whole of the network of the “Cooperative Electrique de l’Arrondissement des Côteaux” (CEAC) to establish a Bill of Quantity for rehabilitation work following damages incurred during the Hurricane Mathew. A team was deployed to the ground to collect information on the network such as precise locations of damaged electrical posts, transformers, lines, etc. The collected information was then processed and analysed and uploaded to MapX to safeguard the information and make it available to the public.
