In 2022 the Secretariat to the Convention of Cartagena and the MapX team will collaborate on the development of a regional environmental platform that will support the periodic development of the Secretariat’s “State of” reports:
– on Marine Pollution in support of its Land-Based Sources of Marine Pollution (LBS) Protocol.
– on Marine Biodiversity in support of its Specially Protected Areas and Wildlife (SPAW) Protocol.
The platform will be integrated with the World Environment Situation Room and will showcase environmental data at the global and regional level as well as knowledge management products.
