New online platform to promote ecosystem-based disaster risk reduction

UNEP and UNEP/GRID-Geneva just released a new online platform dedicated to the “Opportunity mapping” approach, which aims at combining global datasets on ecosystem distribution and hazard exposure to highlights areas where ecosystem restoration and/or protection can be used to protect the greatest number of people globally. The platform is available here and comes along with a story map that describes in detail the Opportunity mapping methodology.
