How can we apply satellite insights towards a more sustainable future?

Welcome to the sixth edition of our newsletter highlighting innovation and frontier technologies around the globe. This issue starts with a case study on how Haiti as one of those countries supported by UN Biodiversity Lab uses spatial data in conservation monitoring to manage biodiversity.  Then we collected some interesting news which include that the NCSA announced a new collaboration with several universities and organizations to produce DEM, Crowther Lab has published future city interactive map indicating how global warming impacts cities by 2050, etc. Then in the Scientific Corner, we presented a research paper on a newly developed computer model based on machine learning for researchers better forecasting severe storms. At last, several free events and webinars related to geospatial data which is going to happen in August are listed in the end.
